Client shot and killed an armed attacker during a self-defense incident, but the District Attorney's Office refused to dismiss the case, refused to make any reasonable offers on the case, and claimed they would not consider any plea less than 15 years. During a two week trial, we systematically destroyed the prosecution case in trial, and the jury acquitted the defendant of all charges after a matter of hours. Client was released from custody.

The mother of their young child accused him of these crimes during the course of a custody dispute and after she shot him during the course of a domestic violence incident. The District Attorney's Office refused to acknowledge all the problems in their case and refused to negotiate the case in a reasonable manner. We successfully defended our client against these false allegations by showing that the alleged victim lied and proving that she shot him during the incident. A jury acquitted him of sexual assault and attempted murder and convicted him of lesser domestic violence crimes that resulted in a short sentence that was close to credit for time served.

Client hired a different, very well respected, defense attorney in Riverside, and took the case to trial. During the first trial with his very well respected lawyer, the jury was unable to reach a verdict and the case "hung." The Riverside County District Attorney's Office decided to continue prosecuting our client. Our client decided to hire our firm to represent him in the second trial. We fought the prosecution case, and their witnesses at every turn, painstakingly going through their statements, and all their inconsistencies and details in their accounts that made no sense. During the second trial, a jury found him not guilty of all charges. After multiple years, two attorneys, and two trials, our client finally received the verdict he deserved.
